Sodexo is extending its robot delivery program across North American campuses for seven more years, a commitment Robot.com calls its biggest enterprise deal yet.
The agreement, unveiled August 20, deepens a partnership running since 2021 and, for the first time, turns the machines into billboards. Brands can push campaigns to screens mounted on the robots while they carry food and packages.
Robot.com’s R-kiwi sidewalk robots handle the campus runs, rated at Level 4 autonomy with a 12-hour battery and a 19-liter cargo bay.
The food services group reports 80 million daily consumers and sees the delivery fleet as part of a broader push toward digital campus services.
Chief business officer J. Kim Fennell said the two companies have learned together on deployment and economic models over five years and are ready to expand significantly.
Robot.com, which rebranded from Kiwibot in October 2025, says it operates more than 500 robots across the US, Canada, Dubai, and MENA, completing over 2.5 million tasks. Newer hardware includes the R-noid humanoid for kitchen work and R-dog, a four-legged courier expected to reach commercial deployment in 2027.
Seven-year contracts are rare in campus delivery, where Serve Robotics and others chase the same volume through platform deals, giving Robot.com a long runway to amortize its fleet.
