Nebius is now the designated infrastructure builder for Palantir’s sovereign AI push, a role the two companies confirmed on September 8 without disclosing financial terms.
The Amsterdam-based, Nasdaq-listed firm will host cloud and inference services that Palantir’s commercial customers can use while staying inside their own controlled workspace, once the integration work is finished.
To add capacity fast, Nebius is deploying modular data centers at sites that already have power, sidestepping long waits for grid connections.
The pairing targets customers fine-tuning open-weight models on proprietary data, where every hop matters. Their workloads run inside their own stack, keeping sensitive information off infrastructure they do not control, with Palantir’s AIP, Ontology, Foundry and Apollo layers on top.
Palantir, best known for intelligence work with governments, has been chasing the same control-first pitch in commercial markets. For Nebius, the group that split from Yandex, the role opens a distribution channel into that base.
