Insilico Medicine, the clinical-stage generative AI drug discovery company, posted its first full-period profit in its debut interim report since listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Net profit reached $35.54M in the first half of 2026, with adjusted net profit of $51.23M and positive operating cash flow, on revenue of $106.3M.
The revenue mix tells the story: nearly all of it came from dealmaking. Drug discovery and pipeline work brought in $103.1M, up over 300% from a year earlier, lifted by upfront sums from licensing deals and milestone payments on existing partnerships. Software sales added a modest $2.70M to the total.
Because deal income arrives in lumps, the quarterly picture deserves a closer read. Across 2026 announcements, the combined contract value of deals reached about $7.3B, spanning a June tie-up with SK Biopharmaceuticals worth up to $2.5B and a Takeda agreement in July valued near $600M. Those headline sums reflect maximum potential value; the revenue booked in the period tracks the cash that actually changed hands.
The pipeline advanced too. In the clinic, Rentosertib advanced into a large Phase III program in China, focused on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the drug’s lead indication. A brain-penetrant NLRP3 inhibitor received US FDA IND approval in January, and a pan-TEAD inhibitor won Fast Track designation in July.
Insilico frames its MMAI Gym model training ecosystem as a second engine beyond dealmaking, including a co-development collaboration with Liquid AI on a lightweight on-premise scientific foundation model.
