Meta has started collecting names for early access to the Muse features it showed off at Connect last week.
The queue is managed by the assistant itself. Meta shared a prompt on X that users can paste into Muse; it asks the agent to pass along that they want in on the early access program. That is a deliberate choice over the usual randomized beta group. Meta wants enthusiasts who already run several AI apps and follow the market closely.
What they are waiting for includes video chat with a Muse avatar, more shopping partners and connectors, computer use on the Mac, and a version of the agent that lives on Meta’s AI glasses and answers to a wake word.
Traction explains the urgency. Sensor Tower counted more than 3.4M downloads by Thursday, up from 2.5M at the start of the week, and daily active users rose 27 percent on Wednesday after the keynote. Apptopia has 4.3M installs; Appfigures sees about 2.3M. Muse has sat at the top of the US App Store since September 18 and on Google Play since September 19, and remains available only in the US and Canada.
It also shows more of itself than rivals do. Users discovered the agent would hand over its file listings, and Meta now calls that intended behavior. David Singleton of Meta Superintelligence Labs said each user’s Muse Secure VM is “your own Linux box,” while a spokesperson said the level of detail on display may change as the product evolves.
