Anthropic spent September 15 widening where Claude can work, refreshing its small-business plugin and slipping a Salesforce tool into beta.
The small-business release now counts 43 workflows and 27 new integrations, adding TikTok, Atlassian, Zoom, Xero, Gusto, Square, Stripe and Zapier alongside connections to Shopify and Salesforce. Everything runs through Claude Cowork, the company’s desktop client for local files and linked services. Setup means installing the plugin, signing into accounts and choosing a task, and any workflow can be put on a repeating schedule.
Nothing acts without a green light at first. Claude prepares each run and holds it until the owner approves the send, post or payment; a single workflow can be granted full autonomy and reined back at will. The Monday brief, for instance, collects available cash, week-over-week sales, pipeline shifts, unpaid invoices and the top three items demanding attention. Anthropic assigns each workflow a connector count, topping out at 37 for that brief and dropping to 14 for month-end closing.
Sales teams get a separate package. The Salesforce plugin enters beta with 37 skills spanning CRM upkeep, pipeline review, account research and call preparation, all bounded by the access a user already holds. Salesforce records and Slack deal channels feed it through two connectors, while a setup routine inspects a seller’s stack and assembles a tailored Claude Artifact for their territory.
