Nvidia’s RTX Spark superchip is finally inside real computers. At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Nvidia and its partners showed the first RTX Spark-powered laptops and mini desktop PCs, three months after the chip was announced, and the machines are built for running agentic AI workloads locally.
The marquee device is Lenovo’s Yoga 9n, a 16-inch 2-in-1 with a 2880 x 1800 OLED touch display at 120 Hz, aimed squarely at the premium laptop class. RTX Spark mini PCs were also on show, and Nvidia said the compact Windows machines would reach buyers in October.
Alongside the hardware, Nvidia is smoothing local-agent setup: three widely used agent apps will ship simplified configuration built on llama.cpp with Nvidia inference optimizations, removing the fiddly work of picking models and dialing in quantization settings.
Perplexity’s Portable Computer agent, which packages models, orchestration, and tools into one app for local use, is expanding from DGX Spark systems to RTX GPUs with at least 24GB of VRAM on Linux, with Windows support promised.
The IFA wave is the industry’s first serious attempt to sell the PC as an agent machine, with Nvidia, Microsoft, and partners pushing inference out of the data center and onto desks.
