Anthropic’s classroom push is expanding from individual teachers to the institutions that employ them. Schools and districts can now bring Claude for Teachers into a centrally managed organization, with Anthropic waiving the cost for the first year of any organization that signs up before June 30, 2027.
The Enterprise tier adds what educators have been asking for: single sign-on, role-based access control, domain capture that pulls in teachers who already verified, and adoption reporting across the district. The individual program for verified US K-12 educators has been live since July 14.
Privacy terms sit at the center of the offering. District-level agreements align with FERPA, Anthropic pledges not to train models on educator inputs or outputs, and the district keeps the data-controller role while Anthropic acts as processor. The company says it neither sells nor shares student data.
The company also introduced two teaching skills built with Learning Commons, covering lesson planning and quick standards-aligned checks, with math the first subject supported. This fall it starts a pilot in the Detroit Public Schools Community District to study whether the tool shifts educator wellbeing and practice.
