Scimplify has raised $25M to help manufacturers reduce their dependence on Chinese suppliers of specialty chemicals and critical materials, with semiconductors, defense, and energy driving early adoption. The Bengaluru-based startup uses an AI platform to compress the time from a customer’s requirements to delivered product — two months in some cases, against the 12 to 18 months such work normally takes.
Hitachi Ventures led the all-equity strategic round, with Accel India, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore, and 3one4 Capital all returning. Customers Henkel and Teknor Apex participated as new backers. A person familiar with the transaction put the valuation at $250M after the investment, up from $150M in March 2025. Total equity funding now stands at $80M, though Scimplify declined to give a valuation figure.
Speeding industrialization, not discovery. The bottleneck Scimplify targets is commercialization: taking research-stage chemistry and turning it into a material manufactured at scale, meeting strict quality standards, inside supply chains concentrated in only a few countries.
Scimplify receives the customer’s requirements and runs the development work at its Bengaluru and Hyderabad facilities, where its team builds chemical processes fit for the order. Partner factories then take over for commercial production. Scinode, the platform coordinating each piece, deploys AI agents focused on research, manufacturing, and quality to map production routes, find the right factory for the job, and watch quality and regulatory milestones in real time.
The company supervises production across more than 500 plants, 90 percent in India, with plans to extend into the US and Japan over the next year. The US is its fastest-growing market at 30 percent of revenue. Overall annualized run rate has reached $200M across more than 1,000 customers in over 40 countries.
