US iPhone owners have until December 21 to claim an estimated $25 per device. The money comes from a $250M settlement resolving claims that the AI-upgraded Siri Apple promised never arrived on schedule.
Eligibility is narrow. A qualifying claimant owns an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or any iPhone 16 model. The purchase has to fall between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Filing takes a name, contact details and a serial number on the settlement site. Payments could reach $95 apiece if relatively few people file.
The underlying complaint concerned expectations. Buyers were told features previewed at WWDC 2024 would arrive with the iPhone 16, and the phone shipped with a thinner feature set while carrying the built for Apple Intelligence label. The rebuilt Siri slipped repeatedly before landing this month with iOS 27. Apple has admitted no wrongdoing.
