Google Cloud has a version of Gemini Enterprise built specifically for lawyers.
The new edition, unveiled Tuesday in preview, targets law firms and in-house legal teams. Cleary Gottlieb, Freshfields, Weil, and Williams & Connolly are the launch partners.
It marks Google’s first industry-specific spin of the platform, with a financial services edition arriving alongside it. Healthcare and life sciences versions are next in line.
The package bundles legal skills, connectors, and agents beneath a control plane that enforces security policies and keeps client data isolated. Outputs must trace back to verifiable sources.
Connectors reach the tools legal teams already use. iManage and NetDocuments cover document management, Docusign handles agreements, and Everlaw plus RelativityOne serve e-discovery. Court opinions and PACER filings come through the Free Law Project’s CourtListener.
Google promises client data, playbooks, and outputs stay private and never train foundation models. Accenture, Deloitte, and KPMG lead an implementation channel, with Deloitte contributing a contract summarizer and a clause-redlining agent. Access is by request, with features landing over the coming weeks.
