Bob, the human resources platform from HiBob, just closed its biggest raise yet: $166M led by Salesforce at a valuation north of $3.2B.
Farallon Capital Management also joined what HiBob calls its largest financing to date. Total capital raised now tops $700M, and the new valuation runs about 20% above the $2.66B mark set in a 2023 round.
HiBob frames the money as a bet on turning Bob into an organizational intelligence layer. The pitch: as AI agents start executing work instead of just generating text, they need trusted context about employees, skills, reporting lines, permissions, compensation, and team structures. A general model may know how to write a performance review, but it does not know who manages whom or what permissions apply.
Bob has expanded beyond employee records into payroll, compensation, performance management, workforce planning, and skills data, giving agents a richer dataset to reason over.
The deal lands despite a tough funding climate for traditional software-as-a-service companies and suggests investors are willing to pay up for software that can feed the agentic workplace.
