Contact center veteran Omilia banks $67M after ARR hits $60M

Omilia raised a $67 million Series B led by Expedition Growth Capital, funding its push into self-learning agents that work across customer contact points. The Athens-based company has automated voice calls and customer support since 2002, and CEO Dimitris Vassos argues against throwing large language models at every query. Basic requests such as account balances need no generative AI, he says, comparing the approach to using a knife when the enemy is near rather than a bazooka.

Since a $20 million round from Grafton Capital in 2020, Omilia has grown annual recurring revenue tenfold to $60 million. Clients include Capital One, Discover, RBC, DWP, and PSEG, and Taco Bell runs its voice ordering across more than 1,000 outlets. Vassos denies a reported incident last year in which a customer allegedly ordered 18,000 cups of water through the system, saying Omilia’s logs show nothing of the sort.

The fresh cash will open a US office, expand the go-to-market team, and fund hires for chief revenue officer, chief marketing officer, and VP of revenue operations roles. Headcount sits around 500 and is expected to reach 600 by year end. Vassos says the goal is a billion-dollar revenue company within three years, built on unit economics rather than hype.
