Simulating Real World AI Interactions at Scale
Israeli startup Arato has emerged from stealth with $10 million in seed funding to help organizations catch AI failures before they reach end users. The round was led by TLV Partners, with participation from Jibe Ventures and notable angel investors including former VMware CEO Raghu Raghuram and former Intuit CTO Marianna Tessel. Founded in 2024, Arato has built a platform that simulates thousands of user interactions across text, voice, image, and data modalities to identify potential failures, risks, and improvement areas in AI applications.
The platform functions as an additional validation layer that works both before deployment and continuously after an application goes live. By mimicking how real users might interact with an AI system, developers can spot edge cases, security vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps early.
Measurable Results and Experienced Team
Co-founder and CEO Shahar Erez noted that many organizations deploy AI despite its imperfections because they feel they cannot afford to wait. Arato enables teams to measure systematically before customers discover problems. One global industrial firm used the platform to slash validation times for AI assistant updates from three months to just days, cutting manual effort by 80% and saving an estimated $5 million over three years.
Arato was founded by Erez, CTO Hilik Paz, and VP of R&D Tal Salmona. Erez and Paz previously co-founded Stoke Talent, which was acquired by Fiverr for $95 million in 2021. The fresh capital will be used to expand the platform and grow the team as demand for reliable AI evaluation tools continues to rise across industries.
