Hardware teams spend a lot of time keeping documents honest. A CAD drawing, a requirements sheet, a simulation result and a test log all describe the same part, and they drift apart as a design changes. Flow Engineering sells AI agents that keep them aligned, and investors just handed it a much larger check.

The San Francisco company raised $50M in Series B funding at a $750M valuation, it said on Wednesday. Antonio Gracias of Valor Equity Partners and Gavin Baker of Atreides Management co-led. Sequoia Capital, which led the Series A last October, returned, and former Sequoia partner Roelof Botha invested personally and joined the board.

Flow’s agents watch for mismatches between what a component is supposed to do and what the newest drawing reflects, a job that is tedious by hand and costly to get wrong.

The customer list leans toward hardware where a bad drawing hurts. Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, General Motors PPU, RV Tech and Stoke Space are among them, a mix of defense, electric vehicles and aerospace.

The round fits a broader appetite for AI aimed at physical engineering. Both lead investors are known for backing Elon Musk’s ventures, and chipmaker Cerebras sits in Atreides’ portfolio.
