xAI has released Grok Imagine Video 1.5, its latest image-to-video model now generally available through the Imagine API. The update brings significant improvements in motion coherence, physics simulation, and audio generation compared to its predecessor. The model can produce synchronized sound effects, ambient audio, and dialogue in a single pass, with clearer speech that better matches on-screen action.
Speed and Workflow Improvements
The new Video 1.5 Fast mode nearly doubles generation speed, producing 6-second 720p clips in approximately 25 seconds, down from over 40 seconds with the previous model. Alongside the performance boost, xAI is introducing productivity features including Projects for organizing work, parallel agent support for running multiple generations simultaneously, and a searchable library to locate previously created content. The model is accessible through grok.com, mobile apps, and the xAI API under the identifier grok-imagine-video-1.5.
