OpenAI taps Wiz’s Dali Rajic to run revenue after Dresser exits

OpenAI’s executive reshuffle continues with a new leader atop its sales organization. Dali Rajic, most recently president and chief operating officer at Wiz, joins as chief revenue officer, replacing Denise Dresser after nine months in the role. Dresser stays through a transition period.

Rajic brings operating experience from Zscaler and AppDynamics, and he arrives from Wiz, which Google bought this year for $32B. Brockman, OpenAI’s president and co-founder, announced the appointment in a blog post that described the company as moving into a compute-powered economy where AI is embedded in every workflow. He said Rajic will turn what the team has learned into repeatable execution.

The hire follows a turbulent stretch. COO Brad Lightcap left last week to start a new venture, and Fidji Simo, head of AGI deployment, also departed. Brockman has absorbed more of the management load as the company rights itself.

OpenAI now serves more than two million businesses and over one billion weekly active users, roughly double the business count of a year ago. Yet executives have conceded revenue has missed some internal targets. The company filed confidentially for an IPO and this week let employees sell $7B of stock back to OpenAI, a buyback some interpret as a signal the public debut will wait.

To support the rebuild, OpenAI also signed a go-to-market partnership with Chad Peets and RPT Partners.
